Dandara's Expansion

A homebuilder named Dandara plans to construct 85 homes in Petersfield, located 15 miles north of Portsmouth. As mentioned, the development will consist of various properties ranging from one to four bedrooms and will be situated less than a mile from the central business district. It has reportedly been built to blend with the natural environment surrounding it in South Downs National Park. Construction is anticipated to begin in the winter of 2024, and the development is scheduled to be launched in the summer of 2025.

According to Paul Ebbs, Regional Director at Dandara Southern, this new development is a huge improvement for Petersfield, as it will create a number of new job possibilities. Positioned in a suitable commuter location, the site provides easy access to train lines while simultaneously enjoying the calmness of the countryside.

For those who enjoy being outside, the Queen Elizabeth Country Park is about three miles away. This park features a visitor center, cycle tracks, hikes, trails, and the Beechwood Kitchen, a perfect place to refuel after exploring the surrounding area. The town center of Petersfield, which is well known for its lively environment, is conveniently located within walking distance of the location. It maintains a regular schedule of markets and festivals, which offers a wealth of possibilities to appreciate art, music, and theater. History enthusiasts can also visit the Petersfield Museum, the Physic Garden, and the Norman Church of St. Peter's in this ancient market town.

Accordingly, youthful professionals, first-time buyers, and families desiring to adopt a more nature-oriented way of life are expected to constitute most purchasers. Yet, it can also be an ideal location for families since it is near excellent primary institutions, such as Sheet Primary School and Petersfield Infant School. The Petersfield School serves older pupils and is conveniently located within a six-minute drive of the development. Other independent schools, such as Bedale Prep School and Churcher's College, are located near Petersfield, making it desirable for students.
